NRA/Eddie Eagle GunSafe® Program

The Eddie Eagle GunSafe program has reached over 21 million children - in all 50 states.

Eddie Eagle teaches children in pre-K through 3rd grade four important steps to take if they

find a gun; Stop! Don't Touch. Leave the Area. Tell an Adult.

In 1999, BOLDT. - the new agency for The Eddie Eagle program - began working with the NRA to re-create the overall look/design of the Eddie Eagle character and program. BOLDT. created/wrote/produced all of the new supporting educational materials including the GunSafe name itself; U-DO Books, CD-Rom, animated PSA with theme song, instructor/teacher guides, brochures, and advertisement/educational ads.

The Eddie Eagle GunSafe program has no agenda other then accident prevention and ensuring

that children stay safe should they encounter a gun. The program never mentions the NRA.
